VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Who?  Healthy children aged 7 â€“11 years old

What? Brain imaging using magnetic resonance imaging

Where? Penn State University (University Park campus)

The Hungry Brain Study at Penn State University will consider how being hungry influences how children's brains process things that we normally find rewarding, like food and money.   We are currently looking for children and a parent or legal guardian to come to the Penn State campus in State College, PA, for two visits.  Each time they will have a brain scan.  The scans will take about 55 minutes.  During the scan, they will play two short computer games. Parents and children will also have to answer some questionnaires.  Each session will take about 3 hours and families that participate will be compensated for their time and travel costs.
